katy corbus likes theatre.

Born in Kalamazoo, MI and raised by two powerful mothers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Katy caught the performing plague early, singing onstage for the first time at two years old. Four years later she played Molly in a community production of Annie and hasn't stopped from there. Professional and community work includes Lamplighters Music Theatre, Willows Theatre Company, Woodminster Summer Musicals and Berkeley Playhouse. Katy also appeared in numerous print campaigns and commercials while signed with the Marla Dell agency in San Francisco.

Katy spent four years at Boston at Emerson College, from which she earned a BFA in Musical Theatre in May 2016. While at Emerson, she performed in Carousel (Louise) and Guys And Dolls (Featured Dancer/Dance Captain) at the Majestic Theatre and was involved as an actor, dancer and choreographer in several of the college's student-run organizations. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2016.

The following fall, Katy moved to New York City, and soon after, hit the road for five months with the 2016-2017 National Tour of 42nd Street. She is now back in the city and continues to study and perform.

Katy is also exploring a love of teaching - she enjoys leading music classes for little ones with the Pineapple Explorers Club, working as a TA for Mark Morris Dance Group's Adaptive Dance programming, and is a proud Teaching Artist team member with DreamStreet NYC, a Brooklyn-based non-profit theatre company for people with special needs.  She hopes to always continue teaching, learning, and working to broaden the range and accessibility of artistic opportunities for everyone.
